Research Associate in Musculoskeletal Modelling of the Shoulder

I develop computational shoulder models to investigate the effect of subject specific anatomy and kinematics during dynamic joint and tissue loading, and to develop new orthopaedic treatments. I am based in Angela Kedgley’s group at Imperial College London. I work in close collaboration with Prof. Dr. med. Philipp Moroder at the Schulthess Clinic to maximize the clinical impact of my simulation work. I am a comparative biomechanist and palaeontologist by training but switched to shoulder biomechanics for my previous postdoc at the Laboratory for Orthopaedic Technology with Prof. Dr. Stephen Ferguson at ETH and with Prof. Dr. med. Moroder at the Schulthess Clinic. I remain fascinated by the link between form and function, although now my focus is on variation within humans rather than between species. I really enjoy developing new methods and share the tools I have developed via this website and on Github.
